NICOLA

Director

Singing | Piano | Songwriting

I can’t remember a time when I haven’t been obsessed with music! I started singing lessons at the age of 14 and began teaching 10 years ago.
I completed my Advanced Certificate in Music Performance, majoring in vocals, and went on to complete a Sync licensing course through Berklee College Of Music based in the USA. I then travelled to over 30 countries singing professionally on cruise liners.

I have gained extensive recording experience and have written and recorded a full length album of which my songs were played on both national and international radio. I love to see students get inspired and see the results of taking small steps in improving their technique. The change in my students voices and confidence is phenomenal to witness!

KYLE

Director

Drums | Music Business

Drumming has been my passion since I started playing at the age of 9. I have played in various bands and after school went on to complete my Advanced Certificate in Music Performance, majoring in drums. I’ve also completed my Grade 8 Drums Certificate through Rockschool. As a band leader, I have completed cruise line contracts in Europe, USA, the Caribbean and Australasia and have extensive experience in both live performance & recording.

As an Artist Liaison in music management I’ve worked alongside both artists and clients, assisting with everything from performance contracts to being on location for live shows and festivals for artists including Incubus and Bastille. I’ve taught a multitude of students from kids to adults, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players. My passion is to see students develop their unique set of skills, to grow in musicality and technique while having fun along the way.

Guitar | Bass | Music Theory

From an early age, I was hooked by the deep tones of the musical range. Being classically trained on viola, then falling in love with the bass, I knew music was the career I wanted to pursue. I graduated from the Brit School with an Advanced Diploma in Music, where I was introduced to a new world of musical genres and possibilities. As a performing musician, I continue to use my training as a session player, band member, composer and arranger, and have cultivated working relationships with many artists and industry professionals. I have ample experience in playing and recording bass and guitar, and have a keen interest in jazz and music theory. Having taught students with a wide range of experience, I’ve enjoyed seeing them improve their musical ability by working on technique and understanding music theory, as well as helping them realise the joy of playing music!

Chaila

Piano

I started learning the piano at the age of six at the Juan José Landaeta National Conservatory of Music in Venezuela. Years later, I had the privilege of returning as a teacher, where I led piano and ensemble classes. Over the past decade, I’ve had the joy of teaching both children and adults in Venezuela, Spain, and the UK.

For me, life without music wouldn’t feel complete. It’s a universal language that lets us fly without wings. Watching my students grow lesson by lesson brings me genuine happiness and more than anything, I hope each one finds the same joy and freedom in making music that I’ve found myself.

ELYONA

Singing

With a lifelong passion for singing and music, I have had the opportunity to perform and train in many musical environments. From festivals like Glastonbury, touring with artists, recording in studios and even singing on a cruise ship! My love for music has taken me all over the world and allowed me to explore many different styles and genres, from R&B to Musical theatre! My belief is that everyone has the ability to find their voice, no matter your level, if a supportive environment is present, you can reach your potential!

LAURA

Piano

I learnt to play the piano as a child, working through the grades into my teenage years. I have played ever since and enjoy the variety of different styles from pop and boogie woogie to classical. I teach beginners piano to children, but I have also taught adults over the years.  My pupils range in age from 7 to over 60! I have been working in a local primary school and this has included children with special needs. I find it very rewarding to see the students enthusiasm as they progress, but most of all to see how much fun they are having in the process!  For me the emphasis is on enjoyment and fun and I love being part of a student’s musical learning journey.
